What YOU Will Do:
- Routine Pumping and Maintenance:
- Pumping septic tanks: The primary duty is to operate the septic pump truck to locate and remove waste from septic tanks, cesspools, and other waste storage systems.
- Regular maintenance: Ensuring that the pump truck is well-maintained, including checking fluid levels, inspecting hoses, and cleaning equipment after each use.
- Navigating Routes:
- Route planning: Drivers need to know the locations of septic tanks and plan efficient routes to service them.
- Driving safely: Operating the truck safely on roads, especially when maneuvering in tight spaces or backing up to access tanks.
- Customer Interaction:
- Customer service: Interacting with homeowners, business owners, and property managers. Being courteous and professional while explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Collecting payments: Drivers collect payment directly from customers.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of each service call, including the location, date, and amount pumped.
- Reporting issues: Notifying supervisors or repair technicians if any problems arise during pumping (e.g., damaged tanks, clogs, leaks).
- Health and Safety:
- Personal protective equipment (PPE): Wearing appropriate gear (gloves, boots, etc.) to protect against exposure to waste materials.
- Hygiene practices: Following proper hygiene procedures to prevent contamination.
- Emergency Response:
- Handling emergencies: Being prepared to respond to spills, leaks, or other unexpected situations during pumping operations.
What We Need from YOU:
- 2 years of experience in septic tanks, cesspools, and other waste storage systems minimum
- Valid CDL license
- Experience managing a pump truck fleet vehicle and product inventory
- Customer Service Experience required
- Must pass motor vehicle & background check and drug screen
- Superb customer service skills, honest, dependable, and reliable
- Physical dexterity
