Residential HVAC Service Technician

You Know HVAC. Now Work Somewhere That Values the Whole Technician.

At Frank Gay Services, we aren’t looking for someone who can only change parts.

We’re looking for experienced HVAC Service Technicians who can walk into a home, figure out what’s really going on, explain it clearly, and help the customer make the right decision.

Our technicians are trusted professionals.

You will run your own service vehicle, manage your calls, diagnose HVAC problems, talk customers through what you find, build repair options, and complete quality work.

If you’re strong technically, good with people, and take pride in doing the job right, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will:

  • Run residential HVAC service calls
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose heating and cooling problems
  • Complete full system evaluations
  • Explain problems in simple terms customers can understand
  • Build repair and replacement options based on what you find
  • Present those options confidently and honestly
  • Help customers make informed decisions
  • Complete approved repairs and service work
  • Keep customers updated throughout the visit
  • Take care of your company vehicle, tools, and work area
  • Leave the customer’s home clean and professional
  • Build the kind of trust that makes customers ask for you again

The Technician We’re Looking For

You know your trade.

But just as important, you know how to work with people.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have residential HVAC service experience
  • Are confident troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment
  • Can explain HVAC problems without using confusing trade language
  • Listen before recommending a solution
  • Are comfortable discussing repair costs with customers
  • Can present multiple options without pressuring people
  • Understand how great service and ethical sales work together
  • Take pride in clean, professional work
  • Can work independently in the field
  • Are dependable and take ownership of your results
  • Want to keep learning and growing

Sales experience is a plus, but we aren’t looking for someone who simply knows how to sell.

We want technicians who know how to solve problems, communicate value, and earn customer trust.

How Pay Works

Our service technicians work under a hybrid performance pay plan.

Each week, you earn either:

Your base hourly rate  OR  Your performance-based pay; Whichever is higher.

Technicians take home $75,000 - $125,000/yr

This gives you a base while also giving high-performing technicians the opportunity to earn more based on their results.

You should be comfortable working in a performance-driven environment and being accountable for the quality of your work, your customer experience, and your results.
